Support George IB as a Volunteer

Updated on December 1, 2009

Distinguished Teacher Committee

Committee Chair, Lisa Haddox, is recruiting committee members to help in the selection and recognition of George's nomination for the DPS Distinguished Teacher Award.

CAS Committee

The CAS Committee will hold a recruiting and training meeting in January 2010 to prepare additional parent volunteers to support this program. The Creativity, Action and Service element is a unique and integral portion of our students' IB education. Quoting Gail Sigman, the committee's co-chair:

The CAS initiative needs new custodians with new ideas; people who are committed to the belief that helping our kids learn about who they are as individuals helps prepare them to be successful. Knowledge of self through experiential learning. That’s all CAS is. It’s simple, and it’s everything. Can you honestly find any more important way to spend your time and energy?

Watch the IB Calendar and home page for the meeting notice and plan on attending.
